Unpacking an office

I recently helped a homeowner unpack their home office. Unpacking is definitely very stressful- you’re in a new space tiring to refit and make sense of all your old stuff. To keep it simple- take ONE box at a time and empty out the whole box into categories- such as computer wires, AV wires, office supplies, other rooms in the house, loose paper, files, etc. Sort and sort and then sort some more. When you’re done with all the boxes marked office then you’ll have everything present that you need to fit in your new office space thus making it a whole lot easier to determine on what shelves, in what cabinets and in what drawers things should take their permanent place.
