Daffodils Brighten My Laundry Room

Since moving into our new home in January, I’ve enjoyed watching the seasons change outside my laundry room window. First it was a lot of snow and just recently I went down to do laundry and my yellow daffodils greeted me. It was a pleasant sight to see and it makes washing the muddy shoes or paint brushes out in the sink more enjoyable. Here’ some organizing tips to really brighten up your laundry room: 1. Get things up off the floor. Make sure you have the right size and amount of hampers/baskets to hold everything. (label each one so your family can help sort) 2. Install some simple shelving to hold all the clutter that ends up on top of the dryer- it’s not good for your dryer. 3. Paint your laundry room a cheerful color and add a throw rug or mat in front of your machines. 4. Add a card table so you have a place to fold things or to flat dry things. 5. Wash your window(s) and change your lightbulbs to brighter wattage. Now you’re off and running- enjoy your new space!
