My Saturday A.M.
Topics
This morning, I laid in bed contemplating what I’d do today. Nothing was scheduled, which is rare, so I thought, why not tag along with my sister and mom to garage sales. They always go, I never go. Anyways, I texted my sister, sure enough they were leaving at 8:45am. Ten minutes later my husband said he wanted to tag along and when we showed up to leave, my dad had volunteered to be the taxi driver. So all five us piled in my parents Toyota Rav 4 and were off. Turns out my dad is more often than not the taxi driver and he memorizes the preplanned course. Yes, it’s all up in his brain weaving in and out of Edison Park and Park Ridge streets. I think we went to 8 or 10 in all and it was, as it always is, exciting to find some along the way that was not on the original preplanned course. I purchased, 4 clothing items which to my surprise, all fit when I got home. My sister and mom of course found a lot of stuff like they always do. All in all it was a fun morning to waste away g-saleing (as they call it). I think I might join them more often, as long as, we can take a bathroom break and grab a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit at McDonalds.
If you still want to host a garage sale before the summer is over, here are some do and don’t’s my sister and I thought up. Enjoy!
