A Handy Resource

It often occurs that donations and getting things to Goodwill and Salvation Army takes more energy and effort then it should. Some clients really like to put effort into good donation places for very specific items. Although, I don’t mind that, it usually even more time and effort.
Recently, I was notified about this new website. After organizing your home, DonationTown.org will help you schedule a free donation pick up with a local charity to collect any unwanted clothes, furniture or household items. A Chicagoland area charity will send a truck out to your house to pick up the donations and you will receive a tax deduction receipt for your donations. Donation Town is 100% free for donors, charities and profesional organizers.
Think of Donation Town as a one stop shop. Many chairities are listed and a lot of information is given about what areas they service, what they collect, and how you can easlily schedule a pickup.
