Libraries are Cutting Back

Chicago Public Libraries No longer Accept Books
Well, the rumor is true. The Chicago Public Libraries have stopped accepting used books to either stock on their shelves or sell at book sales. The cost is too high to catalog and process them. I didn’t believe it until I tried to donate five bags of books. I’ve always relied on local libraries to take books off my clients hands. That won’t be the case any longer. The lady behind the desk handed me a pamphlet and informed me of other options.
So if your’e in the Chicago area, here are places that will accept used books. And of course, if you live in the suburbs check with your local library. They may accept them or have yearly book sales.
If you have a good book resource to share with us, please post it! We’d love to hear from you.
