Taking Jewelry Along

Packing jewelry for a trip can be quite the challenge. Necklaces get tangled, bracelets are easily bent, and earrings and rings are too easy to loose because they’re so small. I had to laugh recently when my sister was visiting. She spread out her cosmetic and toiletry bag on my kitchen counter tops to dig through to find her jewelry. I didn’t catch on to what she was looking for until a little later. Soon I saw bits of toilet paper spread out all over my counter tops. Then I saw her pull out her necklace and put it on. Then she pulled out earrings, etc. Right away I asked, what’s with the toilet paper? She explained that toilet paper is her way of keeping her jewelry organized. I laughed out loud and said, you do realize they sell travel organizer bags for jewelry? She laughed too and said, Well this is all I could think of to prevent it from tangling.
