Seeing Space Possibilities Inside instead of Outside
Dead air space is common in closets, cabinets, and cupboards. Take a minute to open up some kitchen cabinets, your linen closet, or your china buffet. Open any or all of them. Is their a lot of open air space above items sitting on a shelf? Can you place your hand above the items and wave it around in the air? That indicates you have lots of potential. I’m not saying every last inch of air space has to be filled. I am saying you can harness this space and use it to your advantage if you need it. Recognize the potential of adding:
1. shelf risers 2. stackable drawers 3. Baskets or bins
4. or simply adjust the shelves down or up if possible.
With a little adjusting, restacking, and consolidating you’d be surprised how much extra space will surface.
